My experience at Feng Lin in Bakersfield was wonderful, thanks in large part to Chris and Angie. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. I have food allergies, and they went out of their way to accommodate my dietary needs, which I greatly appreciated. It's not always easy to find a restaurant that takes allergies seriously, and their willingness to help made the entire dining experience stress-free and enjoyable. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously prepared. The lemon chicken was a standout dish—the chicken was tender and crispy, coated in a bright, tangy lemon sauce that was perfectly balanced between sweet and citrusy. I also really enjoyed the chow mein, which was packed with flavor and had a great texture with perfectly cooked noodles and vegetables. The chicken and vegetables dish was another favorite, featuring tender chicken and fresh, crisp vegetables in a light, savory sauce that let the ingredients shine. While the fried rice wasn't my personal favorite, the quality of the service more than made up for it. I really gave this place a fair shot despite the negative reviews but after falling sick shortly after eating here I can't in good faith give it more than a single star... The food was edible at best . I naively thought that maybe on the reheat it would be better... But it sadly wasn't. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. The only saving grace is that the worker were very friendly!.

I just wanted to support a local business. I remember the lemon chicken having a lemon flavored sauce on it. Wednesday night the lady kept asking me if I wanted any sauce on the side for my lemon chicken. Now i realize it's because they sold me lemon chicken with no lemon sauce. I wish she would have said that. I wasn't rude or anything. I dont know why the cook wouldnt put the sauce on it and why the lady packaging the food would just let it go. They pack up your plate with fried rice and chow mein, sure. The sweet and sour chicken just tastes like the store bought bottled lemon juice that the corn man puts on the chariot wheel snacks. Im sure most anyone will have a good experience at Feng Lin. I know I used to every time when I was younger. This was just tonight's review of my personal experience. I would have emailed the owner or messaged on Facebook, but they only have the restaurant phone number. Hopefully the owner sees this and the photo I posted of the chicken and nobody else gets served plain deep fried chicken instead of what they ordered.

A truly amazing establishment with great food and super friendly staff. We took 20 hungry guys here and they didn’t even blink. Thank you Feng Lin!
